The iconography of the bull as a symbol of power clashes starkly with its role in the world of man. Bred for a brief existence, its beauty lies in the fragility of an intentionally truncated life. Unbeknownst to the beast, every moment of its life is more pure because of this. Despite the dominance of man in this world he struggles with the same fragility of his own life. In line with her skull series, Elizabeth presents this macabre reality in a graceful way.
